Copper has nine color themes, and each one comes in dark and light. The color theme belongs to a budget; dark or light belongs to your device.

Change the color theme

On iPhone, go to Settings › Color Theme. Each theme shows as a small preview in your current mode; tap one and Copper recolors right away, so it’s easy to compare. On the web, it’s in Settings › Budget, or press ⌘K and type the theme’s name. The theme is saved with the budget, so it changes on every device for everyone using that budget. In a shared budget, only the owner can change it; everyone else sees the list with a note saying so.
Giving each budget its own theme makes it obvious which one you have open, for example Copper for the household and Evergreen for your own.

Dark and light

Copper starts in dark mode.
  • iPhone: go to Settings and use the Dark Mode switch (it reads Light Mode while light is on).
  • Web: go to Settings › Appearance and choose dark, light or match your system. You can also press ⌘K and choose to switch.
This setting is per device and per browser. Switching your phone to light doesn’t change the web app, or your partner’s phone.
