Your data is yours. You can download your transactions at any time, remove a single bank or budget, or delete your whole account.

Export your transactions

On iPhone, go to Settings › Export CSV. Copper builds a spreadsheet of every transaction in the budget you have open and opens the share sheet, so you can save it to Files, AirDrop it or send it to yourself. On the web, go to Settings › Data & export. There you can pick any budget you’re on and a date range: all time, this month, the last 90 days, this year, or custom dates. The file is named after the budget and the date, and has one row per transaction: Each export covers one budget. On iPhone, switch to another budget first to export it.

Remove a bank

Open the bank in Settings › Connected Accounts and tap Remove. Choose Disconnect to stop syncing and keep its history, or Delete everything to erase its accounts and transactions from Copper. Either way, the bank is disconnected at Plaid. See Connect a bank.

Delete a budget

The budget’s owner can delete it: open Budget Settings from Settings › Budgets and tap Delete budget. The budget and all of its buckets and transactions are removed, for everyone on it. This can’t be undone.

Delete your account

Go to Settings and tap Delete Account, at the bottom below Sign Out. On the web, it’s in Settings › Account. Deleting your account:
  • Disconnects every bank you’ve linked, at Plaid.
  • Permanently deletes your budgets, buckets, transactions, uploaded images and profile.
  • Deletes your private buckets in budgets others share with you.
This can’t be undone. If a bank can’t be disconnected at Plaid, Copper keeps your account and asks you to try again, so a bank is never left connected to an account that’s gone. Backups roll off within a limited period after deletion.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it first in your iPhone’s Settings app, under your name › Subscriptions, so you aren’t charged again.
